Designed To Blend In
The Calima began where the Sirocco left off — with an umbrella we already trusted. The frame, the sturdy base, the anchor joint we'd dialed in over a year of trial and error: all of that was behind us. This time, our work was about the fabric.
We wanted something genuinely beautiful — natural, understated, the kind of shade you'd actually want to sit under all afternoon. And we wanted it to do real work: shrug off UV rays, weather a sudden gust, and look just as good at the end of summer as it did at the start. Finding a fabric that could honor both — the beauty and the toughness — took more swatches, more samples, and more sunny-day tests than we'd like to admit. It was a journey... mostly to the fabric store.
